ROOF UPDATE As you know, we spent over 6 months contacting more than a dozen roofers and contractors. We received nine quotes, other companies backed out because of the scope of the work, and some never even returned our calls. Although the Diocese was already aware of our roof problem, we sent a formal request for help and roofer recommendations to them at the end of May. The Diocesan Real Estate Board meeting, which Fr. Adrien attended, was held on June 20; and only a week later, we received a green light from the Diocese. However, they needed additional information before making a final commitment. Currently there is testing scheduled to be done on the roof for asbestos and structural integrity, which is the reason for the lift spotted in the parking lot. Reports will be forthcoming. Please be aware that this is a very long process, but we are taking the steps to get it done properly. Be patient with us and remember that the “Roof Fund” is still very much in need of support! With the most generous donation of the proceeds from the St. Theresa Rosebush Calendar Raffle of $3825.00, we are up to $41,819.00!
